It’s fall and days like yesterday are what make me argue for fall deserving more respect from peeps. What works against fall–in my opinion–is what season follows….the dreaded old man but when judged all by itself, fall can be awesome-sauce.

Today is very similar to yesterday, starting cool (chilly) and becoming mild by early-mid afternoon under a mostly sunny sky. A fantastic day for yard work, golf or picking apples (ahead of the weekend crowds!). Skies are mainly clear this evening as temps find their way back into the 40s/50s by early Friday morning.

Friday is another mainly sunny day (after some morning clouds) but there won’t be much of a recovery to the early morning chill. The reason is a cool front slipping through New England tonight and that front will usher in some cool, fall air for tomorrow. Nothing new in the morning as we start in the 40s/50s but by afternoon, I think most towns are in the mid 60s—even low 60s at the immediate coast. #Chilly.

The weekend will offer a continuation of this dry pattern. Truth be told, a 1 or even 2 day washout would not be a bad thing—OK, maybe not on a weekend. Temps both days will be seasonal with afternoon highs in the mid 60s to around 70. Saturday skies will be mostly sunny while Sunday sees a few more clouds around throughout the day.
