BRAINTREE, MASS. (WHDH) - Crews battled a brush fire in Braintree Friday morning.
SKY7 footage showed smoke in the area of Granite Street.
Crews remained on scene as of 12 p.m.
No additional information was immediately available.
Flames in Braintree came after the National Weather Service’s Boston office issued a red flag warning early Friday morning, citing low daytime relative humidity and gusty winds as factors behind an elevated fire risk across much of southern New England.
Experts asked individuals to avoid outdoor burning and to be careful with other activities that could spark flames.
Outside Braintree, crews responded to multiple other brush fire incidents on Friday in communities including Burlington and Weston.
