CHELSEA, MASS. (WHDH) - Crews responded to a large fire in Chelsea on Monday that left eight firefighters injured.

The fire broke out on Bellingham Road Monday afternoon and neighbors said the house had recently been renovated. Officials believe the fire started in the back of the home. No one was inside at the time of the fire but 12 people have been displaced as a result.

Eight firefighters were injured – five from the Chelsea Fire Department and three from the Revere Fire Department. All suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.
