SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - Fire crews spent the day battling two fires in Southbridge.
According to authorities, the first fire was at 13-15 Central Street and 320 Main Street.
Firefighters rescued a man trapped on the second floor, and more than a dozen people were displaced.
More than 8 hours after the fire, emergency crews were still on the scene.
The building is a historical landmark that is more than 100 years old.
The Auburn Fire Department posted on Twitter that a 6th alarm was ordered to fight the blaze.
One person was rescued from the building and taken to a local hospital. A firefighter on the scene was treated for smoke inhalation.
Hours later, another fire started just a half-mile away.
