SWAMPSCOTT, MASS. (WHDH) - Crews are on the scene of a large fire in Swampscott.

According to the Swampscott Fire Department, two houses on Bay View Drive caught on fire around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Fire officials said a dog was rescued from one of the houses.

The brother of a resident of one of the houses said the fire started at one house, and then spread to the neighboring house.

No injuries have been reported, but crews had difficulty extinguishing the fire.

According to Swampscott City Hall, there were two water main breaks in the home where the fire began.

Both homes were reported as being total losses.
