AUBURN, MASS. (WHDH) - Two tractor-trailers collided on I-90 East in Auburn early Thursday morning.
According to Massachusetts State Police, one of the tractor trailers rear-ended the other.
Police said the driver of the tractor-trailer that struck the other from behind was trapped in the cab and had to be rescued by emergency crews.
The driver, a 59-year-old New Jersey woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to UMass Medical Center Lakeside.
The driver of the flatbed, a 57-year-old Virginia man suffered minor injuries and was also transported to a local hospital.
All eastbound lanes were closed for just over an hour.
The investigation is ongoing.
