BRISTOL, Conn. (WHDH) — The Connecticut State Police Dive Team was back in a Bristol pond, searching for evidence in the murder trial of Aaron Hernandez.

This is the second week police have searched the pond in Hernandez’s hometown. Sources told 7News they are searching for the gun used to kill Odin Lloyd.

Law enforcement officials said the search stared from a tip that evidence in Lloyd’s death could be found in the water. Aaron Hernandez was accused of orchestrating the Dorchester man’s death in an industrial park near his home.

The former Patriots tight end has pleaded not guilty to first degree murder.
