COHASSET, Mass. (WHDH) — Police say a cyclist took out his anger on a 72-year-old driver after a near collision in Cohasset on Saturday.

The driver pulled out on Route 3A Saturday morning and almost collided with James Clifford, who was on his bicycle. Police said the two then pulled over to the side of Route 3A and Clifford allegedly punched the victim in the face and chest, breaking his sun glasses.

Clifford fled the scene and the victim followed him, while calling police. Police arrested Clifford about 2 miles away from the scene of the altercation.

Clifford faces two charges: Vandalism, for allegedly breaking the sun glasses, and assault and battery on a person over 60.
