The US District Attorney of Massachusetts tweeted on Wednesday that longtime James "Whitey" Bulger companion, Catherine Greig will plead guilty on Feb. 3rd to criminal contempt charges.

Greig is already serving an 8-year prison sentence for her time on the run with Bulger. 

Greig’s sister, Margaret McCusker told 7News, "She’s been in there for enough time … I want her home where she belongs." 

Bulger and Greig fled Boston in 1999 after Bulger was indicted for murder in connection with the his reign over as Boston as the head of Winter Hill Gang. The Federal Bureau of Investigation captured Bulger and Greig in Santa Monica, California, in 2011.

Bulger is serving life in prison.
