FRAMINGHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - Authorities have identified the 28-year-old woman who was found dead in Framingham on Wednesday morning.
Officers responding to a report of an unattended death at the Halstead Apartments around 8:30 a.m. found Jasmyn Beatty dead and suffering from “obvious trauma,” according to a statement issued by Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker.
Her death is being investigated as an apparent homicide. Investigators are going door-to-door looking for clues and are focusing their attention on a set of dumpsters behind the building.
Lauren Albrigo, who lives on the same floor as Beatty, said she heard knocking on the door.
“We heard the knocking on the door, my parents just woke up, they heard screaming and nothing anymore,” she said.
Authoritis are not sure whether Beatty was targeted or not.
“I just called the headquarters here to request a bar. Last night, I slept with a damn chair against the door,” said Alan Beauchamp who lives across the hall.
Anyone with information is asked to call Framingham Police at 508-532-5911 or 508-872-1212.
