DANVILLE, N.H. (WHDH) — A man accused of stabbing his landlord to death in Danville, N.H. earlier this month was arraigned in court Monday.

Richard Moore, 37, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder for allegedly killing Jo-Anne Boucher, 51, on Sept. 2. State Police said Moore became violent and stabbed Boucher to death over Labor Day Weekend.

Moore is a registered sex offender and police said he has a lengthy criminal record going back to 1996.

Police said Boucher let Moore rent a room from her so she could pay down her mortgage. Neighbors said Moore had been living at the house for quite some time.

Those who knew Boucher said she was trusting and had a big heart. She leaves behind a son.
