You feeling OK? Head pounding? Too many drinks last night?…..Regret playing Cards Against Humanity with your parents?!–no shame in that game….it’s what we do…cut loose for a night as we celebrate (or say good riddance) to the year that was. Whatever it is you hope to find in the coming year, I hope you find it! #Truth.

I know this much…the first week of 2016 doesn’t have any blowtorch warmth. In fact, the oppo as we track our first arctic blast of the winter on the way! Good news in that this bitter air will hold off until Monday of next week so travel, skiing and even shopping will not be denied by any frigid air or snowy surprises. We will see a fair amount of clouds over the weekend and perhaps an occasional flurry as well. More importantly, temps this weekend will be seasonal with daytime highs near 40 each day.

Looking into next week the aforementioned arctic front will blast through here early Monday Morning sending temps from the upper 20s during the morning rush down into the teens by the evening rush! Escorting the arctic air back into the region will be a lot of clouds & even a few snow showers * flurries–especially along the coast & out onto the Cape. A coating-2" is possible in very localized spots Monday (more specific details on the snow flurry threat over the weekend). Cold temps again on Tuesday before some moderation begins middle of next week. No storms in sight next 5-7 days but signs are pointing to some possible storminess weekend of January 9-10th.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!
