BOSTON (WHDH) - Delta Airlines and Massport teamed up Saturday to host their annual holiday party at Logan Airport for children helped by the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
The Holiday Wonderland Party brought more than 115 families from Make-a-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island to Logan. At the party, children got a tour of a Delta airplane and a Massport fire truck. Children also made crafts and wrote letters to Santa Claus. And after lunch, Santa himself paid a visit.
Make-a-Wish grants wishes to children who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Organizers said the party is a chance for the children to get away from hospitals and medical treatments for one day so they can have some fun.
