BROOKLINE, MASS. (WHDH) - The Department of Public Health is investigating a case of tuberculosis at a Brookline daycare.

Parents of kids at Tiny World Child Care, a bilingual daycare in Brookline, showed up Tuesday afternoon to pick up their toddlers and attend a Q&A with the health department.

This came after someone tested positive for the infection.

An active case of tuberculosis can be spread through the air.

It affects the lungs and can develop into a potentially deadly condition.

The Department of Health said they sent a letter home to parents, and that the disease can be dangerous to kids.
