A town in New Hampshire is hoping to get in on the $900 million Powerball jackpot, with a social media campaign going viral in Derry.
Everyone there is trying to get a piece of the pot.
At East Derry General Store, one woman bought thousands of Powerball tickets.
“Right now we have 2,263 people playing this round,” Jen Lague said. “It all started when I started a Facebook group called ‘Bringing Derry Together’.”
Lague’s pool skyrocketed to more than 2,000 people, who have spent more than $4,000 on tickets.
Just in case Lague hits it big, the store will be notified first, and the tickets will be locked away safe and sound.
“I bought them earlier in the day and they’re locked away in the bank, not in my house, that would be crazy,” she said.
