Don’t know about you but I’m more than glad to close the books on March 2015. Like last March, this March is cold. Today will mark another cool day as afternoon highs reach the upper 40s (normal high is 51). At least we will have a fair amount of sunshine with just a few clouds around. There will be more clouds the farther south from Boston you travel as a small storms carves a path from Pennsylvania eastward out over the ocean (south of New England). Storms that take this path prevent warm air from surging into New England so plan on high temps only in the 40s again tomorrow.
To warm things up will take divine intervention—-or just a warm front. That front enters the picture on Thursday with some clouds. As we work through the day those clouds will break apart—and almost simultaneously you’ll unzip your jackets as temps head for the low 50s by afternoon. A rare afternoon with above-normal temps and we’re not done there! I think we can make a run at 60 on Friday! The only catch will be a lot of clouds and even some morning sprinkles. If the clouds/sprinkles linger into the afternoon (longer than I am forecasting) then temps will stay in the 50s but as of now I’ll stick with my instincts and say a warm & dry afternoon.
Cooler weather returns for Easter weekend with Easter Sunday itself offering sunny skies but afternoon temps in the 40s (morning temps in the 30s).
