More than 150,000 dishwashers are being recalled in the United States and Canada because their power cords can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

The recall involves power cords supplied with certain Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore Elite and Thermador brand dishwashers.

They were manufactured from January 2008 through December 2013 and sold at stores nationwide and online.

There have been ten reported incidents, including five reports of fire resulting in property damage.

Consumers should stop using the product and contact the BSH Home Appliances repair hotline at 888-965-5813 for a free inspection and repair.

About 149,000 dishwashers are being recalled in the United States, in addition to about 4,500 that were sold in Canada.
