WELLESLEY, MASS. (WHDH) - Police confirmed they have found the body of a missing boater on Morses Pond in Wellesley.

Dive teams searched for someone in the water in Morses Pond.

Divers searching for the body Tuesday but 7News learned that the search and rescue effort was suspended, as officials began searching for the body of the missing boater.

The first call came around 1:30 p.m.

Police said a man in his late 20s or early 30s was doing landscaping on a home on College Road.

The man took out a canoe on the pond by himself and wasn’t wearing a lifejacket.

A short time later, other members of the landscaping crew realized he was in trouble and called 911.

Multiple dive teams were on scene searching for the man.

Police closed down College Road during the search.
