Doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital say they have developed a new technique to repair ACL tears.
The revolutionary procedure allows the knee ligament to heal itself.
Doctors say they thread the torn ACL through a sponge, injecting it with blood, and wait for cells to grow.
The procedure is still in it trial stage, but doctors say so far, it’s a success.
Doctors have performed the procedure on 10 patients, and all ligaments have been healed.
