A drug-resistant superbug that the medical community has long feared, was found in the United States.

Doctors confirmed the strain in a Pennsylvania woman, and say this could mean the end of the road for antibiotics as we know them.

She reportedly never left the U.S.

The superbug is completely resistant to antibiotics and almost impossible to treat.

The superbug was first discovered seven months ago in pigs, and some people in China.

Health officials say right now, the superbug is not widespread.
