Doesn't feel like the "Dog Days of Summer" right now, does it? Well, maybe that's because it's International Cat Day. It's also Caturday. I apologize, but I had to sneak that in there somehow… and it's my blog! :c)
My temperature maps in the afternoons are beginning to look like winning lottery tickets; a whole lotta 7's! For some, low 70s were a little too cool for today to go down in the books as the "perfect beach day." But if we're gauging just on sunshine and wind alone it was another "perfect 10" in my book! Let's do it again tomorrow, shall we? We shall…
Well, sort of. The cool-ish temperatures are with us again tomorrow. Inland temps will top out in the mid to upper 70s, and along the coastline we'll see highs in the low to mid 70s. Lucky for us, a storm system passing by will stay well off-shore again tomorrow. Really, we don't even notice it's there… Well, aside from the clouds it will spread across the area, that is. It's not a total loss on sunshine, though. We will get some peeks of sun through the day and possibly even fewer clouds in the afternoon and evening hours.
The one big effect this storm will have on our weather here in the Bay State is the onshore breeze/wind it will re-enforce as it passes to our east. A wind from the NE will make the beaches a touch cool tomorrow (low 70s), and it will be breezy to even windy (especially on the Cape). Still, it's a great day to enjoy the great outdoors because again, this storm really isn't our problem.
As we head into next week, the heat will gradually creep back into the forecast. Summer isn't done with us just yet, so hold your horses! Tuesday will be the muggiest day of the week, and it's also when our lawns and gardens will have a good shot at getting a drink. Could even be some strong storms that move through, so we'll continue to keep a close eye on the Tues-Wednesday time-frame.
Have a wonderful weekend and soak up all that summer has to offer! Rest assured, I am! -Breezy
