A dog found abandoned with her face covered in duct tape is now recovering as police look for the suspect who did this to her.
Police said they found the dog wandering the streets alone. Her head and mouth had been covered in duct tape.
The dog, now named Aurora, was brought to the Darlington County Animal Shelter. Jackie Kirven, of the Humane Society, said the shelter gets many animals who are suffering or who have been abused.
Kirven said Aurora was very frightened when she was found and is now doing much better. She will remain at the shelter until she finds a permanent home.
