Firefighters were on the scene Monday to rescue a dog that fell into icy water in Utah.

The dog, named Tucker, fell through the ice during a walk with his owner. Firefighters who arrived on the scene jumped into the water and rescued Tucker.

"Be aware of your animals. Be their advocate," said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Nathan Bogenschutz. "They’re not gonna know that the ice is dangerous so if you’re gonna bring them around those areas, make sure they’re on a leash."

Tucker is now OK. His owners sent a picture to the fire department to say thank you.
