ASHLAND, N.H. (WHDH) - A man was arrested after he allegedly rode a motorcycle at an extremely high rate of speed in Ashland, according to New Hampshire state police.

Police said a trooper observed the man, who was later identified as 36-year-old Sean Reardon of Dorchester, while he was monitoring traffic on I-93 in Ashland.

The trooper said Reardon was traveling northbound at 128 miles per hour, and the speed limit in that area was 70 miles per hour.

Reardon was operating on a motorcycle learner’s permit at the time of the incident.

He was charged with reckless operation and will be arraigned at Plymouth Circuit Court on July 28.
