Haven’t had time to revel in the warm weather? Feeling like the sands of time are working against you.
Well, you’re right. Time is almost up to enjoy highs like these:

Highs surpassed expectations today, but that’s what happens in an outrageously warm airmass. As I said earlier this week, it goes to show just how warm this air is: a few hours of weak, low-angle sun can catapult you into the mid 70s.
Sun will be even more limited tomorrow, yet highs will still manage to make the mid 70s. Dew points will climb to the low 60s with areas of fog to battle in the morning. A slow-moving front will approach tomorrow evening, and it could spark a few lightweight showers by 7-9pm. Keep that in mind if you’re going to be out for a Friday night bar crawl to celebrate the warmth.
Weekend will feature the much-advertised cooldown, but it really doesn’t get bold until Sunday. With a stiff northwest wind, highs will limp near 50 in the afternoon, and a hard freeze will set in Sunday night.
Next week is NOT as warm as this one, but we’re still averaging above normal….and with this pattern still largely intact, I’m still not ready to say we’ve seen the last 70 degree weather of the season.
