Yikes….temps are running about 10-15 colder than yesterday morning and that is a reminder of what fall is all about…rapidfire changes. Take a look at the 7-day…60s to 40s then back into the 60s by next week. You have the remnants of summer along with an over-excited winter season eager to show up and the result are some big changes in just a few days.
Nothing too drastic today as our early morning chill melts away to afternoon temps in the low 60s and even tomorrow the temps can recover from the upper 40s and reach the mid 60s by afternoon. There will be some wind tomorrow and this time of year that wind can *mask* that mild feel to the air. The reason for the wind is the first of two cold fronts affecting us. The first front won’t live up to its name until Saturday. This front will keep daytime temps in the 50s along with a cranky northwest wind. 50s won’t be that rough but on Sunday an arctic front will blast through here and that front will do a number on our temps for a couple of days with afternoon highs only in the upper 40s. Wind on Sunday makes it feel even colder. Plan on sunshine both days but only there for moral support on Sunday. Quite cold & windy for the Head of The Charles…as well as any other outdoor plans for the Sunday.
This is not a new weather pattern taking hold though, just a clash of seasons as noted above. By next Wednesday & Thursday, afternoon temps are likely back into the mid & upper 60s.
Enjoy the ride!
