Dozens of people were forced out after a hotel went up in flames in Wakefield. 

The fire happened on North Avenue at around 10 a.m. Monday. 

According to officials, the fire started in the basement and spread to the second floor. 

Everyone was evacuated as smoke filled up the building. 

One person suffered minor injuries. 

There is no word on the cause of the fire.
