LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH) - A woman was cited and had her license revoked after police said she hit a boy out trick-or-treating in Lowell on Halloween.

The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. around Marshall Avenue. Police said there were a good amount of children trick-or-treating on the street.

Police said 27-year-old Carlenys Arroyo stopped and spoke with the 4-year-old boy’s family after hitting him, then drove off. Police pulled her over about 10 minutes later.

According to police, the boy was conscious and alert but has a gash on his head. He was transported to Tufts Medical.

Arroyo was cited for leaving the scene of an accident with injury. Police said they submitted an application with the RMV calling Arroyo an “immediate threat.” Her license has now been revoked.
