YARMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - Yarmouth Police say a woman who fell asleep at the wheel crashed through a children’s jungle gym Friday morning.
Multiple 911 calls reported that a car had crashed through the yards of the Mill Store and a Super 8 Motel on Route 28/East Main Street in Yarmouth.
Police and fire crews reached the scene and found a driver who told police she fell asleep. She was not seriously injured.
Police estimate that more than $10,000 in damage occurred.
The damage included fencing, two jungle gyms, a pergola, and landscaping on the properties.
The driver was charged with negligent vehicle operation.
