Clouds are back in town for a couple of days as yet another midweek storm (this makes 4 in a row now) takes a swipe at New England. Much like the past few, this storm has no cold air to bounce into so it’s about raindrops and nothing else. As of now this storm is centered across the Great Lake states and has a lot of real estate to cover. This buys us a mainly dry day (some patchy drizzle at best) with a bunch of clouds. Temps will be seasonal, reaching the low 40s with little to no wind.
Rain showers are with us late tonight & through midday Wednesday as our system swings through the northeast. Most towns pick up around .50″ of rain late tonight & tomorrow morning…adding to our December surplus of rainfall…if only this were in the form of snow.
High Pressure and sunshine return for the end of the week and start of the weekend. Temps look seasonal with afternoon highs in the low 40s. By Sunday our next storm approaches. This storm may travel too far to our south to bring us any heavy rain/snow so as of now I’ll advertise some rain/snow showers on Sunday-Monday.
In terms of any widespread plowable snow & bitter cold, it doesn’t appear we’ll have a weather pattern like that until after Christmas & maybe even New Years.
