Loving the stretch of weather we’ve had lately?  Wow, what a day yesterday for the Boston Marathon!  Low humidity, sunshine and a slight breeze.  Perfect for spectators, maybe a little warm for runners, but overall, that ocean breeze that moved from Boston to Hopkinton did chill out the 2nd half of the route. Congrats to all who accomplished so much leading up to and during the event.

While we’ve been under the influence of dry weather the last 6 days, this morning we do mix it up a bit with a few early showers.  The rainfall totals are scant, under 0.10" for most, and rain tapers off by 8am for most towns.  While it’s possible that an isolated afternoon shower pops-up across eastern Mass this afternoon, they’ll be few and far between, and those afternoon ball games should go on.  Fenway looks dry and cool by 7pm.   Temps today range from the low 50s at the coast to low 60s inland.

With a breezy conditions this afternoon and relatively low humidity, the brush fire risk is high, especially inland.  There is a red flag warning in place from Noon-8pm for central and western Mass.  Not a good backyard burn day and no cigarette butts out the window people.

While we’re cooler at the coast again tomorrow, we’ll have a good deal of sunshine once again.  If you miss the 70 degree weather, don’t worry, it’s back by Thursday.

Enjoy the day.
