MENDON, MASS. (WHDH) - Surveillance cameras captured a Dunkin’ Donuts employee in Mendon dropping donuts on the floor and then putting them back on display to be sold.
A former employee who had worked at the store for three years posted the video the Facebook. The video has now gotten more than 70,000 views.
In the video, the employee is seen dropping the entire tray of donuts on the floor, waiting a little bit, and then putting them back on the tray and into the case to be sold.
The incident happened in November at the store on Uxbridge Road.
Dunkin’ Donuts released a statement Friday:
“We are aware of the video and we take matters like this very seriously. The actions seen in the video at a franchised Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant are absolutely inconsistent with our strict food safety standards and requirements.”
