BOSTON (WHDH) - Emergency crews responded to a pedestrian crash in downtown Boston Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened on School Street and Washington Street in Downtown Crossing.
Three people were taken to a local hospital.
The woman driving the car got out of her car after the crash and ran away from the scene to a nearby Chipotle.
Some good Samaritans raced to the scene to rescue the victims, who were trapped under the car.
Witnesses said the driver plowed through a busy intersection, dragging a woman under her car.
Richard Holland, who was dressed for a tour, was leading a group when the crash happened. He said a group of three to five people jumped on the hood of the car and got the driver to stop.
A group of people, including Holland and a park attendant, lifted the car and rescued the two pedestrians.
According to witnesses, the driver ran into a nearby Chipotle to get away.
Her passenger, a man, stayed at the scene for hours as police questioned him.
The victims were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
