LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH) - A trio of falcons were tagged after they made their home atop a building at UMass Lowell.

The so-called “River Hawk” chicks are actually endangered Peregrine falcons.

They are living on top of the college’s 18-story Fox Hall.

Now the chicks will be tracked as they leave the nest and grow into adulthood.

More than 20 Peregrine falcon chicks have hatched at UMass Lowell in the past eight years.
