PROVINCETOWN, MASS. (WHDH) - Conservation workers race to save an entangled whale in Provincetown on Tuesday.

The large fin whale was spotted swimming slowly with fishing rope and buoys tangled around its body and in its mouth.

Rescuers were able to cut away most of the rope.

They had to leave some in the whale’s mouth, but said that portion should shed away.
