The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating three reports of planes being targeted by lasers.
The FAA said the first incident at Logan Airport happened Wednesday night at 9:17 p.m. as an American Airlines flight from Charlotte, North Carolina was landing. As the plane approached the runway, the FAA said a green laser beam shone into the windshield. Sources tell 7News the two pilots suffered injuries from the laser. The plane was able to land safely.
Two minutes later, a Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta also reported a green laser beam as it was landing at Logan Airport. No injuries were reported in that incident. The first incident occurred just before 9 p.m. at Harriman Airport in North Adams, when an airplane reported being illuminated by a green laser. No injuries were reported by the pilot.
