The high in Boston today… in the books at 68 degrees despite all the sunshine in place! Yes, it can happen this time of year with a cool, low humidity air mass and an onshore breeze. For many, it was a refreshing change from the warmth and humidity of yesterday. By the way, 68 is the average high for late September. While we keep the Fall-like air in place through tonight, it won't last much longer than that as winds go back to the south and both the warmth and humidity ooze back in.
With that said, tomorrow is another nice, comfortable day. It's just warmer with highs around 80. Even the coastline warms into the mid 70s, allowing for a milder beach day.
The humidity starts to return Saturday as a warm front delivers clouds and an occasional passing shower/storm Saturday. It's not an all day rain event, just keep an umbrella on standby if you're out and about or heading out to the golf course. Highs hold near 80 thanks to a decent amount of clouds mixed in with some sun.
If you're one that says "bring on the summah heat and humidity", then Sunday's the day for you with highs in the upper 80s to 90 and dew points near 70. The beaches and golf courses stay mainly dry as the front that wobbles through Saturday, will be off to the east by then. We still have no official 90 degree reading this year in Boston, Sunday will be our next chance to hit it.
Monday features more scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon as a cold front slides into the warmth and humidity in place. Behind that front, next week looks mainly dry with temps generally running into the 80s.
Have a good one! Keep warm tonight, and cool over the weekend.
