First day of fall is much like several late summer days this month….bright & cool. Yup, temps early today are running between 15-30 degrees cooler than yesterday morning so fall wardrobe in full swing this morning. Even as we step into the afternoon the numbers will end a bit cool, finishing in the mid-upper 60s. Another difference from yesterday will be the lack of wind today–only near 5-6 mph throughout the day. A nice way to start the season.

Even though it’s a new season, the general weather pattern remain the same…dry.  High Pressure is with us for several days across much of the northeast which keeps sunshine in the forecast for quite some time. The only issue (there’s always one) is a storm that will form off North Carolina and try to move north up into New England. High Pressure won’t move much so the storm gets the ole talk to the hand treatment…for the most part. I do think this storm will toss some clouds & even an isolated shower across the region on Thursday. By no means a washout but a few raindrops are possible.

More sunshine for Friday and beyond. Enjoy!
