FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) — A Framingham family was shaken up after a violent home invasion. The parents were home with their children when a group of armed men burst in to their home and tied them up.
“They out us on the floor, they tied my arms my feet. My husband, they did the same with him. They took our money and a few things that we have and that’s it. They ran away,” the mother, who asked not to be identified out of fear of a repeat incident, said.
“I’m scared. I’m really, really scared. We are afraid that they will come back. There’s nothing to think about this, it’s horrible.
Police said the home invasion happened early Sunday night. The family's 15-year-old daughter said it all started with someone ringing their doorbell.
“They rang the doorbell and then my brother came to see who it was. As he was unlocking the door because, because that usually doesn’t happen to us. So then, as soon as he unlocked the door, the guys rushed in and pushed him down,”
Police say the men used zip ties to restrain the mother and her 3 kids who are 15, 11 and 6. The father, with a gun to his head, was forced to empty a safe containing thousands of dollars and hand it over to the men before they take off. Somehow the mother was able to free herself and call for help.
“I don’t know, I don’t know what to say. I’m really scared, I’m very nervous now,” the mother said.
