The family of a 1-year-old girl who died in Cambridge under the care of her nanny is seeking justice.

On Thursday, the girl’s parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Aisling Brady McCarthy.

The lawsuit comes five months after prosecutors dropped murder charges against the nanny.

Brady-McCarthy was watching the couple’s baby in 2013 when the little girl suffered bleeding in her brain.

A medical examiner first determined the death a homicide, but changed that ruling last year, saying the cause of death could not be determined.

Brady-McCarthy was deported in September and is currently back in Ireland.
