Patriots fans in Somerville went wild celebrating an improbable victory that rewarded those who kept the faith.

“It never comes easy. Never give up,” said one fan.

When the Seahawks tied the game with just seconds left in the half, Patriots fans insisted they were still confident.

“It’s tied but not really. Pats are gonna lead. Pats got this,” said another fan.

There were long faces after the Seahawks’ Jermaine Kerse made a last-minute catch that had fans remembering an incredible catch by David Tyree in the last Super Bowl the Patriots lost.

“When Kearse caught that pass, I was like, it’s done – it happened again. Three in a row, so…amazing,” said a fan.

But the game-saving interception by Malcom Butler wrote a different end to this script.

“I never gave up. In Brady we trust,” said one Pats fan.

“It was unbelievable. Best game I’ve ever seen in my life. Brady is the best ever now. Four Super Bowl wins, baby, unbelievable,” said another excited fan.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh shared the excitement of the Patriots’ win with his statement: “Congratulations to Patriots and all of Patriot Nation on a well earned Super Bowl victory. You have made Boston and New England proud – cue the duck boats!”

Details on the victory parade will be released Feb. 2.
