I've been saying it all morning; "You ever wonder what it feels like to be 'normal?' Today's your day!"  I wonder what it's like to be normal everyday, but that's not exactly what I'm talking about.  Really it's the seasonable, average/normal temps that we're in store for today.  It's a real summer winner, in my book.  Can I say #IMHO?  I just recently learned what that hashtag-acronym means, so I better use it:  Today rocks, #IMHO (In My Humble Opinion).

High pressure keeps things nice and dry today, and also very sunny.  UV index is at an 8 around midday, so make sure you have that sunscreen and/or wide-brimmed hat.  It's a great early morning run/ride day; great beach day; great picnic in the park day… Just really great.  Low 80s for most.

There is a storm system in the Midwest today, that we will be watching through the next couple of days.  This will bring us changes for the weekend, but how impactful those changes will be is still a little vague.  It looks like high pressure is our friend, not only bringing the sunshine today but also keeping the track of that storm to the south of us – and then taking it out to sea.

While most forecast models take this system south of NYC and then out to sea for the weekend, it doesn't mean we escape all effects here.  Clouds will move in tomorrow, and temperatures will be dropping for Fri-Sun (topping out in the mid 70s).  It still looks like a dry weekend for most, but we can't rule out the possibility of the storm grazing the S. Coast, Cape and Islands.  I'm giving it a 30% chance of scattered showers, and breezy/windy conditions are expected for the weekend.  The more SE you go, the better your chances are that you have to dodge some raindrops and wind this weekend.

As always, we'll be keeping a close eye on this through the next few days. Stay tuned for details!  Meantime, I'm not sure how I feel about the word "fall" being thrown out so much.  Again, #IMHO we have until Labor Day to enjoy "summer."  So for my sake, keep your talk of Pumpkin Spice Lattes to yourself for a bit (because you can't even order one right now).  Let's enjoy this perfect summer day before we start quoting Game of Thrones: "Winter is coming."  I know… I know…  Alright?  – Breezy
