The Boston Fire Department responded to a fire in Dorchester late Tuesday night.

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm building fire on Ellington Street at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday night.

The BFD described seeing heavy smoke pouring out of the first, second and third floors of the building.

Officials estimated $250,000 in damages, and said 10 adults were displaced and no people were injured.

Fire investigators continue to search for the cause and origin of the fire.
