QUINCY, MASS. (WHDH) - Firefighters responded to a large fire at a home in Quincy Friday night, remaining on scene as of around 11 p.m.
The fire broke out on Hersey Place just off Washington Street, with a resident telling 7NEWS he had been at church with his family when he got a call around 8:30 p.m. telling him his home was on fire.
Crews could be seen for several hours Friday working to contain the blaze.
Cell phone video at one point captured towering flames shooting out of the building’s roof.
Though the fire response was still active, officials told 7NEWS there had been no injuries.
Officials said wind in the area had been an issue.
The Red Cross and other resources were on scene as of Friday night.
