WESTWOOD, MASS. (WHDH) - A bridge in Westwood is raising clearance concerns again after a firetruck got stuck underneath the East Street Bridge.

The fire department said the truck got into a minor crash when it got wedged underneath the bridge Wednesday afternoon. It was not headed to an emergency call at the time and firefighters were able to back the truck out on its own.

Residents said this is a recurring problem with vehicles getting stuck under the bridge. Engineers are working on a project to increase the clearance of the bridge but the project could continue through the end of the year before construction starts next summer.
