SANDWICH, Mass. (WHDH) — People felt the effects of the first snowfall in downtown Boston on Tuesday, but people on Cape Cod saw the snow stick around a little longer.
For a lot of people this was one big surprise.
A little early winter treat or maybe a headache for home owners after the first dose of snow came plowing into town.
“They’re being cautious but you can never be too cautious. Especially with the sleet and the snow, it's dangerous out this way,” said Officer Nicole Bevilacqua, Bourne Police Dept.
The tree trimming crew was busy at work clearing branches from power lines. It just happened to be on a day the snow was sticking to the trees.
“It’s beautiful, but a nightmare. I'm not wearing socks. The kids didn't have hats and mittens,” said Cathy Castano, not ready for the snow.
School buses were rolling, no snow days yet, but grassy areas were covered under a fresh blanket of snow and cars were covered too.
“Every day is different. I'm going to Florida if I can find it,” said Joanne Winters, Cape Cod resident.
The temperatures continued to drop and there are concerns that any snow that was left around Tuesday could cause problems on the roads later on.
