BOSTON (WHDH) - Flames tore through a bus in the Fenway area on Wednesday night.
Boston firefighters responded around 8 p.m. to Kilmarnock Street for a bus engine fire, according to a tweet from the department.
Fire officials said the bus was empty and the driver had an extinguisher.
Boston Fire Department said the fire grew to the first couple of rows and firefighters were able to extinguish it.
The bus was from Fitchburg State University for students attending the Red Sox game, according to fire officials.
A tow truck arrived on the scene for the bus. The bus driver is contacting the company for another bus, fire officials said.
There were no reported injuries.
