WELLESLEY, Mass. (WHDH) — As this holiday storm continues to move toward the east coast, flooding will be a major concern for travelers Wednesday.

Flooding was a big problem on Route 9, even just with a bad rainstorm. Drivers have to be prepared as roads continue to get worse as the rain continues to fall — especially with all the extra volume for the holiday travel.

Along Route 9, downed power lines or downed trees can be an issue when winds get bad. So far nothing indicates the situation will get that extreme, but the winds have picked up.
