SANDWICH, Mass. (WHDH) — Fierce winds and plunging temperatures threatened beach front homes along the coastline  Friday as flood waters moved in.

The Nor'easter caused flooding and erosion along the coastline.

State Police Search and Rescue vehicles where on standby in anticipation of any emergencies.

Many residents still remember last year's blizzard which caused power outages for several days.

Thursday’s snow was lighter than the Blizzard of 2013 and residents are hoping the power stays on.
