Florida woman arrested for allegedly driving drunk while live-streaming incident

A Florida woman was arrested on Friday after she allegedly drove drunk and live-streamed the incident on Periscope.

Whitney Beall, 23, of Lakeland, Florida, allegedly broadcast herself on Periscope as she drove drunk.

On the video, Beall tells viewers she is drunk as she drives away from her home. The video shows Beall drinking alcohol at a bar prior to getting in the car.

Seeing the broadcast, two Periscope viewers called police and told police they could use the app to find Beall.

"Within minutes, they found her driving, flat front tire. She hit the curb again … and it was just obvious from that she was intoxicated. She went through the tests,  she failed and went to jail,” said Sgt. Gary Gross.

Beall told reporters said she does not remember much about the night of the Periscope broadcast but that is learning a lesson from it.
